Otters, once hard to find in California, are now easily found in areas along the Central California Coast. One of those areas is Moss Landing where they congregate in large numbers in the open areas, and in smaller numbers in the quieter areas where males court females and females with pups can be found.
Moss Landing, and nearby Elkhorn Slough, provide a protected feeding and resting place for a variety of wildlife including otters, harbor seals, and hundreds of waterfowl. Visit the Elkhorn Slough Foundation for more information.
In addition to Otters, my galleries include wildlife and bird images from California, Florida, Borneo and other locations around the world.
