The galleries showcase my favorite images from the years that I have been photographing above and below water. Favorite photographic subjects besides underwater include wildlife and birds, landscapes and the amazing people and places that I see when I travel. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do.

I started shooting years ago with a Kodak Instamatic camera (film). When my children were born I wanted a better camera to take pictures of them and bought my first SLR (a Canon AE1). Years later, as a certified SCUBA diver I became interested in underwater photography and bought a SEA&SEA MX10, then was given a housing for a Nikon F2 SLR, bought a camera for it and haven’t stopped shooting since.

My first digital camera was a Nikon D70 digital SLR. Now I use a Nikon D300 digital SLR which I love (I’ve loved all my cameras when I was using them…some more than others). I have two bodies, one of which lives in a SEA&SEA housing. I use two SEA&SEA YS110 strobes with the housing. Underwater I use a 60 mm macro lens and a 16 mm fisheye wide-angle lens. Above water my favorite lenses are the 18-200 mm zoom and 80-400 mm telephoto zoom. All are Nikkor lenses and the two zooms have vibration reduction (VR).

Photography is an addictive hobby. Try at your own risk. 😉
